# FitSpace for trainers

Updated: 2026-09-30

FitSpace is a coaching platform for fitness trainers: publish a branded site, sell programs with 0% FitSpace commission on direct web checkout, and deliver workouts, progress tracking, habits, nutrition, chat, and check-ins. Marketplace listing is optional.

Trainers build reusable programs, personalize workout days for individual clients, review completed sets and progress, assign habits, and create weekly nutrition plans with reusable meal templates or a trainer-reviewed AI draft. Clients use FitSpace on Web, iOS, and Android; trainers author on Web and iOS. A trainer subscription and processor fees are separate from the 0% FitSpace direct web checkout commission. Marketplace sales and native in-app purchases follow their own terms.

## Platforms, branding, and fees

Trainer authoring: Web and iOS. Client delivery: Web, iOS, and Android. No full Android trainer-author workspace.

A branded public trainer site with a FitSpace URL; Pro and Studio can connect a custom domain. Clients use the shared FitSpace apps, not a separate coach-named native app.

0% FitSpace platform commission on direct web checkout. The trainer subscription, processor fees, taxes, and refunds are separate. Marketplace sales and native in-app purchases follow their own terms; check the live billing catalog and seller agreement.

## Capabilities and boundaries

### Programs, offers, and direct sales

Package coaching delivery into a program, publish an offer, and grant access after a direct, Marketplace, or invited-client flow.

- Program content authoring is available without a subscription on Web, iOS, and the API. On Web and iOS the price, access, and terms are fields of the program form itself, and a form saved without a price creates no offer. The form never puts the program on sale: the On sale switch is separate, on the program page, and appears only once every step of the program setup checklist is done (a cover, a module, the plans and links the enabled modules need, and the price), while a program already on sale keeps it so it can be switched off; the API refuses to put a program on sale before that, whichever client asks. A program's offer can be created and edited without a subscription while it is off sale (draft, paused, or archived); putting an offer on sale, or editing one that is already on sale, requires an active Trainer Space subscription or eligible trial, and disabling an existing offer remains available. Offers for video courses, meal plans, and legacy coaching products still require a subscription to create or edit. Direct checkout stays blocked without a subscription even when an offer exists. Inviting an existing client, and accepting an invitation that has not granted access yet, also require an active Trainer Space subscription or eligible trial; a client who already accepted keeps access. Programs stay editable after cancellation, while new direct checkout is blocked and existing paid client access keeps its original terms. Video uploads, AI generation, and client operations retain their separate subscription, feature, and resource checks.
- Trainer pages publish immediately after the trainer chooses Publish, without landing moderation or profile verification. Saving a draft does not publish it. Admins can suspend a page after publication. Marketplace moderation and direct-offer rules remain separate.
- Processor fees and the trainer subscription remain separate from FitSpace's 0% direct web checkout commission; native app purchases follow separate store terms.
- The full branded site editor uses Web. Custom domains require an eligible Pro or Studio plan and DNS verification. Clients use shared FitSpace apps, not separate coach-named native apps.
- The production catalog marks Own Payments as coming later; an external checkout/webhook integration is not publicly available merely because implementation exists.
- New products use three authoring formats: program, video course, and meal plan. Creating legacy coaching products is retired on Web, iOS, and the API; existing products and client workflows remain supported without automatic migration. Android has no trainer authoring workspace.
- Program Marketplace listing requires an active program, verified author, moderation, a one-time learner offer paid through FitSpace, and the program catalog migration. Recurring or coaching-level offers are not eligible.

### Workout builder and exercise library

Build training days from exercises, sets, video, files, text, and nutrition items, including supersets, circuits, AMRAP, and EMOM blocks.

- RPE, RIR, 1RM percentage programming, and auto-progression are not claimed. In-workout live timers are not claimed on web, iPhone, or Android; a rest timer is available on Apple Watch.
- Android supports the client workout experience, not the trainer authoring workspace.

### Per-client workout personalization

Keep the shared program intact while replacing, adding, hiding, or copying a workout day for one coaching client.

- Editing a workout already logged by the client is blocked.
- Per-client overrides apply to coaching clients with an active program and do not rewrite the shared template.

### Workout logs and exercise history

Clients record sets and group results; trainers see completed work, compliance, recent activity, previous-set context, and per-exercise feedback threads with photos or short technique videos.

- Advanced volume charts, personal records, and automated load prescriptions are not presented as available.
- Video drawing and markup are not available; Android does not include exercise comments yet.
- Apple Watch runs sets of regular exercises, supersets, warm-ups, and cool-downs; circuit, AMRAP, and EMOM blocks are recorded on iPhone. The Watch shows the workouts the iPhone app last loaded, so the iPhone app has to be opened to refresh them.

### Progress photos and body metrics

Keep dated progress photos and body metrics as structured records, compare photos, and review trends on charts.

- FitSpace stores coaching records; it does not interpret measurements as a medical diagnosis.
- Only collect photos and health-related measurements that are necessary and agreed with the client.

### Check-ins, reviews, and reminders

Create reusable questionnaires, schedule them, review or return submissions, and notify clients or trainers about due and missed work.

- A coaching check-in is not an emergency or diagnostic service.
- Delivery of push or email notifications depends on notification permissions and configured providers.

### Habit coaching and streaks

Reuse habit presets, assign daily or selected-weekday habits, and track completion and streaks without turning every task into a form.

- V1 tracks completion once per due day; quantities and multiple completions per day are not claimed.
- Streaks follow scheduled due days rather than every calendar day.

### Nutrition plans and reusable meal library

Attach a seven-day nutrition plan to a program, generate a draft with AI, personalize it for a client, reuse meal/day/week blocks, and track eaten or skipped meals.

- AI output is a trainer-reviewed draft, not autonomous medical nutrition advice.
- AI meal generation depends on plan entitlement; the production catalog includes it from Starter, not Lite or Solo.
- Trainer Space nutrition is separate from Marketplace meal-plan products and the consumer AI nutrition subscription.

### Communication, schedule, and retention

Combine one-to-one chat, program community chat, calls, broadcasts, calendar actions, attention signals, and follow-up notifications.

- Client activity explanations and suggested next actions are localized for Russian API requests; other request languages currently use English for these fields.
- FitSpace does not claim a full team CRM, booking marketplace, or built-in video-conferencing service.
- Basic automations are implemented and included from Starter: onboarding assignments, missed check-in and inactivity follow-ups, access-expiry and payment-failure notifications. Advanced automations, booking, exports, and webhooks remain coming later in the billing catalog.
- Notification delivery depends on the client's permissions and configured channels.
